Programs and Descriptions:

Modern Drum Circle - Discover the Universal Rhythm

Discover the "Universal Rhythm" during a dynamic, interactive Drum-Circle quest inside a jungle, using twenty African Djembe drums.  Immediately creating unique sounds, playing rhythms and singing together fascinates kids of all ages.  They search to find the sound that everyone will recognize and play- the "heartbeat"- the universal unifying rhythm.  Drummers realize that this rhythm was always present- in one's heart.  They only had to look inside.  Everyone then gets to Call & Answer!  Afterwards, Chazz discusses the health benefits and cultural history of drumming.  Since the comprehension level used always matches the audiences' development level, this program is acclaimed as both fun and extremely informative!

Preschool Percussion Fun

This is a program of drumming, rhythm, interaction and fun for children 3 to 5 years old. It introduces young imaginations to the wonderful possibilities of drumming and music in their lives.

Heart Beats - The Benefits of Drumming!

Chazz invokes the physical and mental health benefits of steady drumming in a dynamic, interactive Drum-Circle workshop with twenty African Djembe drums!

Chazz guides students using twenty African Djembe drums through a dynamic, interactive Drum-Circle workshop that invokes the substantial mental and physical health benefits of steady drumming.  He proves that drumming restores energy, releases tension, and dispels stress and aggressive feelings.  Drummers attune to the powerful synergy created as playing collective rhythms unites them.  Drumming also deepens a bond to Mother-Earth, as a drum sound may represent a crack of lightning, pounding ocean waves or the tumult of an earthquake.  Repetitive drumming entrains a self-discovery of creativity and an appreciation of individuality.  Although this challenging program emphasizes steady drumming, it is remarkably relaxing.  After the workout, Chazz discusses the complex cultural history of drumming.  Since the comprehension level used always matches the audiences' development level, this program is acclaimed as both fun and extremely informative!

Special Drum - Circles for Special People!

Chazz invigorates Special Needs and Infirm people through the joy of drumming in a comfortable, non-competitive, success-oriented Drum-Circle that also includes colorful shakers and claves.

Chazz provides shakers, claves and twenty African Djembe drums to Special Needs and Infirm people set in a drum-circle.  They use the instruments to play simple rhythms as a fun, educational and healthy change from typical recreation and therapy programs. Their cognitive, physical, and psychosocial skills are challenged since drumming ignites the heart and inspires the soul by reviving dormant areas of our brain. The continuous repetition of rhythms coordinated with body movement creates an entrainment that actualizes self-discipline and self-esteem.  Drumming also rejuvenates the immune, respiratory, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems that promote strength, balance, flexibility, coordination and good posture.  Its healing effects improve perplexing maladies including Alzheimer’s, autism, dementia, dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, trauma and emotional disturbance.  Drum-circles also evoke non-verbal communication and social interaction by providing a safe bridge to express joy, frustration, anger, hope, comfort and love.  Since the comprehension level used always matches the audiences' development level, this Program is acclaimed as both fun and extremely informative!
