Magical Self Esteem Program
Jay Leslie’s "Magical Self Esteem Program" is not magic, it just works like magic.
Jay demonstrates, in terms children can understand, what self esteem is, why it is important and how to develop it.
That seems like a lot to cover in forty five minutes but simple straight forward talk, with magical examples used as illistrative points, make it fun and leave a leasting impression.
Using a few students from the audience, Jay preforms specially selected magical effects that show how to avoid peer pressure (including bullying) and
negitive influences by friends and family. In essence, Jay’s approach is to show the student they have the ability to become successful
students, good citizens and happy people.
Jay Leslie has thirty credits in developmental psychology and has the incredible ability to communicate with people in an age appropriate mannor for both elementary and high school ages.
Understanding the young mind is only part of what it takes to teach simple, concise and improtant skills to cope. The other aspect is how good Jay’s magic tricks are. They have been specially selected for these seeions to illustrate topics
and hold the interest of the student in a fun and stimulating way.
Other topics that will be covered include tattling vs. telling, contests vs. challenges and the importance of seeking out people who have a positive attitude.
The finally of the program is a strait jacket escape where an impossible problem is solved one step at a time and by Jay escaping he proves that information, practive and self confidence open the doors to anyone
who wishes to become a better person and have more self esteem.
